The Picture Says It All

We went hiking this weekend and I took this picture of Matthew.  It's just a perfect picture of him.  He always has a smile on his face, is quick to make you laugh, ready for an adventure.  Matthew simply loves life.  (And yes, that is a mutant bat on his shirt.  Totally Matthew.)

This is a picture I took last week.  His BG was in the 50s and dropping.  He was so tired and had a bad headache.  It's hard to see him this way.

  3. What a handsome young man you have! I love the top picture, all smiles. I could tell by looking at his eyes that in the second photo he was fighting a low BG. I hate seeing our kids suffer though this disease.

  4. I dislike the look of a low. Don't you just want to hold on to them and never let them go?

  5. OK - first of all... the new blog design looks GREAT!!! :)

Secondly (which really should have been firstly, cuz its the much more important comment) Matthew has the most beautiful smile EVER! :)
The second picture tugged at my heart strings... that is a look we know all too well.

  6. He looks like a fun kiddo!!! Love the mutant bat t-shirt. I wonder if they have that in a "ladies - cut"? haha.

And the low photo hurts. I hate seeing them like that.

  7. What a cutie. I think our boys all get the same look when they are low. :( So heartbreaking to see them feeling so bad.

  8. Ugh. I was smiling right along with Matthew in the first photo, then my face just fell with sadness for the second photo. I hate what D does to our kids!!!!!

I do love what you have done with the blog, however ;)
