I can count on one hand the people in my life who take Matthew's diabetes seriously.
The rest? Honestly, they act like it's no big deal.
I wish they could have been with me when this happened.....
Diabetes is hard.
Never-ending.
Expensive.
Messy.
Painful.

Oh no! I am so very sorry. What happened, did he knock his Pod or hit a gusher? We have only had that happen one time in almost two years. And you are right, many people don't understand what our kiddos go through on a daily basis. Hang in there hon!
Oh, Tracy...yikes. I'm guessing his Dex got caught on something? Poor guy. I hope he's feeling better soon!
Lots of hugs!
Steph
Oh, poor kiddo! Poor mama!
I know. It really is hard, and it would help tremendously if more people would just recognize that. Take comfort in know there's whole bunch of us out there in the DOC who totally get it. Hugs!
Hope it wasn't as bad as it looks! I am riding the new to podding crazy train this week and really needed to hear this tonight!
Ouchies!
I agree people really just don't get it. We do! Atleast we have each other. Xo
We had two massive bleeders last night. I so wanted to grab a pic, but was trying to hurry b/c we were busy in the middle of all the blood-letting. Diabetes is a bitch. Period. xo
Yikes. Hope that was a quick fix and you're both having a better day today, showing D just who is boss!
Holy cow! I pray that never happens to me, because despite being diabetic for 19 years and I can stick a needle in my without batting an eye, lots of blood makes me queasy. I will say, back when I was on MDI, my arms bled the worst when I gave a shot in them. Like, spew out across the room and hit the wall bleeding. Eek! Hope it wasn't too traumatic for him (or you!)
Short.
To the point.
And SO DARN TRUE!
This makes me real sad :( I'm so sorry!
Hope things look up <33
Who needs words when you have a picture like that.
Glad that's over!
The pictures are fabulously gross and REAL. If everyone who said D was not a big deal saw these images, they woudl change their minds pretty quickly!!
Glad all is well and great job for grabbing the camera!!!
