One of the benefits of being a "seasoned" D-Mom is that I've discovered lots of things that make our life easier.
Today I'm giving away one of our favorite discoveries: A band of your choice from Bands4Life!
They're fantastic little wraps designed specifically for the Omnipod Insulin Pump. It's certainly one way to jazz up the look of the pod, but this band is about much more than looks.
Matthew likes to wear his while swimming and he especially loves it during sports because it really helps with the jiggle factor!
Bands4Life has lots of patterns to choose from and they have bands for every area--even the tummy. They also sell ID bracelets. Hop over and check them out!
They even donate a portion of all sales to the JDRF! Woo Hoo!

I have been looking at those to help us keep the Dexcom sensors on :)
Funny story???? What to choose??? what to choose???
Justin is getting older and no longer thinks its funny when I tell him "show mw your butt" on site change day. I guess at this point I am just entertaining myself ;)
What a great giveaway! We could always use another band:)Can you believe how fast time is flying by? I am sure that you all have a came a long way in two years... We just had our one year diaversary in Dec.
Funny story: Several years ago Isaac was riding to a game with a friend of his and while his mom was pumping gas there was a car with a couple of young women(20ish) in it parked beside of them and he was giving them the call me sign with his hand(pinky and thumb to ear-like a phone)-the girls were smiling and it cracked our friends up..(He may have been 8)
Like Lora, think the band would be great for Dex.
funny story...ah, so many to choose from! If we didn't find the humor in D, we would go nuts!
Shortly after Bryce was diagnosed (he was 3) We were on a road trip and went through a drive through. I climbed in the backseat with him and as we were speeding down the highway, tried to weigh his food and give him his shot. Not an easy task while in those huge car seats!! Thank goodness for SWAGGING and insulin pumps now!!
Matthew looks so cool in his band! I had planned on getting one when we tried our hand at the Pod last August but since our time was so short I never got around to it but we have hopes of trying again soon and I would love to win this for my little guy since it is that awesome!
We don't really have many funny stories yet to share but the one thing Our Sugar Babie has been doing lately that we get a chuckle out of is when he reads books to himself he opens up the book and says "Once upon a time" then turns all the pages really fast and on the last page says "the end." I guess he is a speed reader!
Thanks for a great giveaway!
Woo hoo for your first giveaway!!
Funny story about my 1st grader & non-D kiddo:
Groundhog's day at school, kids have to write a reaction to Punxatwany Phil not seeing his shadow. Jessi writes that she is soooo sad that there would be 6 more weeks of winter because her birthday is in the spring and now she won't have a birthday. Sidenote: her birthday is in the summer!
Love the giveaway!!
Me? Have Adam stories? Ha! I have a new one every single day. :)
The latest: "Mom, I can't sit by the fireplace anymore. My bunsies are getting fired up."
Bwahahahah! That kid...he slays me.
Awesome giveaway...we love Bands 4 Life.
Funny story...I was recently explaining to Emerson that my best friend is her Godmother. Emerson sat there for a minute and then got a huge smile on her face and said "she's my mother too..coooooool!"
I've been wanting to try one of these for Elise. We start soccer in about a week, and I want to make sure the pod stays put!
My funniest Elise story has to be the time we were in Target when she was 2She grabbed the brightest coloured bra she could find, held it up to her chest and announced, "I need a bra for my boobies!" to the entire store!
I just about died laughing, along with 5 or 6 other people.
Please ask Matthew if I need to come up with a new story or if all of the ones he reads about on FB are good enough??
You know the ones . . . peeing on my floor, telling me he loves me because I wipe his butt, nose diving off of the furniture and knocking out his teeth, doing the poo poo pants dance . . . the list goes on and on!! Matthew probably remembers more than I do!!
Love ya!!
Facebooked it too!! :)
I'm not much of a tweeter but I did tweet it! :)
Great giveaway! Ok, my funny story is that every single year when we go to the beach, and we go to the beach A LOT in the summer, as she plays in the water and the sand, some kid will inevitably come up to her or start a conversation and ask what that thing on her arm/leg/tummy is.
Grace says, with a straight face - its my iPod. I had it surgically implanted on me.
This results in many a kid leaning their head in close to her Pod, trying in vain to listen to the music they think is eminatjng from it.
WOOT!
The other morning, I was questioning to myself, aloud, how long Dexter had been in? Joe replied, "How do I know? I have been way to busy to keep track of that."
FB'd it.
tweeted.
Well we aren't pumping yet, but we will be eventually so I'm in! Funny story? Oh, don't you know all of ours already? How about the latest one that she wishes her last name was dolphinworth!
