Tuesday Tip: Checking BG at Night

If you're a D-Mom (or Dad!), today's tip is just for you.

I've heard of people fumbling with flashlights, meters, and alcohol wipes in the middle of the night.

Been there.  Done that.

But there is an easier way.

First of all....skip the wipes!

Simply have your child wash their hands right before bed.  Easy breezy!

And if you haven't already--- install a dimmer switch in your kiddos room.

It's so much easier than fumbling with a flashlight at 2 o'clock in the morning!

head lamps are great for night checks too, albeit dorky. ;-)

Dimmer switch is definitely on the wish list! Handwashing at bedtime has definitely saved us some steps. Loving the Tuesday Tips!

Yup, can vouch for the dimmer light; nothing works better and because it's so far away from child, won't wake them up.

What a great idea! We always turn on the harsh light and squint... definitely going to pursue this.
thanks! :)

That is some good advice. Or just be like my parents and make the child (I was 13) be responsible for testing and they just monitored me and checked everything.
